The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

Ok I will be 100% honest..I dont like Miley Cyrus. I was Bumbed when I heard there was a Sparks book out with her as the lead. I love Nick Sparks!

It was hard getting into it just because i would visualize her and instantly be judgemental.

Well I read it all the way. Its a good book. Though Miley or no Miley it was NOT Sparks best.

I do not like stupid winey teenage girls in books, movies, TV. I just want to slap them.

But the overall message did not get lost in the teenage "angst".

Personally I would not recommend this book to a Sparks fan.

The Host ..Ending..

I finished The Host last night. I absolutely LOVED it!

From beginning to end it had me.

I had not realized I bought the one with the extra chapter. Its a good thing i did. I just wish someone would have told me to read the extra chapter that is located at the back of the book when you get to all the empty pages in the book. It would have flowed much better. So if you do read this, READ THE EXTRA CHAPTER WHEN YOU GET TO THE EMPTY PAGES! lol!

Would I recommend The Host? YES!

Is it like the Twilight series? NO.

Its a great tale of love, life, family, endurance, pain, and self sacrifice.

READ IT!

I also seen that it will be made into a movie.

Im very much looking forward to this!!!

Iv been thinking of the cast, who would fit my mental picture of the characters and i havent come up with anyone as of yet.

When it does come out I will probably do "book to movie" update.

I hope it lives up to the book. But we all know the book is always better. lol!

The Host by Stephanie Meyer

I am very excited about this book! It is very promising.

I am on chapter 11 and already I am very involved in the lives of Melanie & Jared and the little brother of course. Im not going to give as much info as I have been. I might change my mind though. Just not sure yet.

Though I think Wanderer will surrender. Thats all Im saying for now.

I will reserve my final judgment after I have read the book in its entirety.

Just know that I am thoroughly enjoying myself!

Prom Nights From Hell~Ending

It has taken me a while to get back to the blog due to me forgetting my log in info.
Anyway, I finished the book about a week ago or so.
The story by Stephanie Meyer was pretty good. Id love to read it if it would ever end up being a full book instead of ending abruptly, as they all did to my dismay.
Would I recommend this book, no.
Unless you enjoy reading a part of a story to just be left hanging with nothing.

Prom Nights From Hell

I began reading this book about a week ago.
It is a collection of short scary prom stories by authors Stephanie Meyer, Kim Harrison, Meg Cabot, Lauren Myracle & Michelle Jaffe.
So far im kind of disappointed. I had better expectations for this one.
The Exterminator's Daughter was ok. Not sure it was the best choice for the first story. But alas, I trudged on.
The Corsage could be a pretty good book if the author made an actual book about it. What made me mad was the fact that i was actually getting into it, then...nothing. It ends at a rather odd spot.
Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper is actually good. I was sorry to have to stop reading it. If the author makes a full go of it, I will certainly get it!
Now im on Kiss and Tell. So far it is ok. Not really an attention grabber. But hopefully it will turn around and be very good..though i do not have high hopes for this to happen.
Next will be Hell on Earth. Im looking forward to this one because it came from the mind that created the Cullens!
Then I will do my final blog on this book. Lets hope I can end this on a better note.

Beautiful Dead ~ Ending

I finished the book last night as i thought i would.
The father had nothing to do with it, though he seemed to try to dominate the family. I thought maybe he would have been in it with the boy..but no. I thought he would want the insurance money from her death, if she did die..but no.
It ended sweetly though i did not think his father would kill himself. I wasnt expecting that.
Now i just really hope the second book will be in this weekend.
Oh and by the way, in my first post, that was my description of the book. Not the back cover. after rereading it, i thought i might have made it seem that way. My bad. Lol.

Im starting this blog a little late. Im almost done with the book.
To begin with i chose this book because im into the super natural. The description on the back cover caught my attention.
Darina was lucky to be chosen to help her friends, and not-so-friends, to find out exactly what happened the day they died. She is grief stricken because her boyfriend, the love of her life, had been one of the four kids in her school to die within a year. But when she finds the Beautiful Dead in an old barn he was there among them.
Now she gets to spend time with him although they only have one year to set things straight after they die, then they go back to "limbo". They do not get a second chance.
I am far enough in the book now to know what happened. Though i already knew the young bully killed him. I just didnt know how. But did he really want the girl to die to? would he have come back to kill her if her memory started coming back?
And was the girl's father involved in any way? Probably not. Its seeming less likely now.
I should be finished with the book tonight. I try to drag it out as much as i can.
Hopefully the second book will be at the store this weekend. *crosses fingers*.
